When I'm not taking care of my family, making jewelry, yard sale scavenging or "thrifting up" some project, I enjoy dreaming up new stories to write. In the real world, I have a job that actually pays the bills... I'm a Title 1 and Special Education Para for the Filer School District. I love working with kids.

I have been writing short stories and poetry since I was 7 or 8 years old. I started writing VENDETTA while in high school. My confidence and self esteem was severely lacking and I bundled it up and stashed it away for years before finding it in a box after several "moves". I was too scared of peoples reactions to my stories and felt that no one would like them.

My friend, Allie, encouraged me to try and finish it for myself and not others. I've been described as "too nice" "sweet" and "kind"... which is lovely and I'm so grateful for the kind words... but when someone reads the stories I like to tell... they say, "YOU wrote this??? Jen, I never knew you had it in you. What goes on in your head??" I just smile and take it as a compliment.

The sudden death of Allie inspired me to break out of my shell and finish it... I wanted to do it for her. Once I finished it, I realized that I had the confidence to publish my project as a novel... and as it turns out, I finished it for myself too. I think that was her plan all along. She's up there winking at me for sure.

I hope you enjoy my first novel and my first self publishing adventure. My writing is improving and I can't wait to continue my life writing stories for others to enjoy. I have started writing my second book, Retribution, the sequel to VENDETTA. So stay tuned.... I promise it will be well worth it... and it won't take me 11 years to finish it this time.

Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me... to really understand me, you'll have to read my stories... and in doing so, that tells me something about you. I think we'll get along just fine! ;)
